The Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor will have three new additions this season – Drew Pearson, Larry Allen and Charles Haley.
Pearson’s absence from the Ring of Honor has long been a sore subject for many Cowboys fans. Pearson, known as the original #88, played with the Cowboys from 1973-1983 and is third on the all-time receiving list with 489 catches and 7,822 yards. He also won a Super Bowl with the team in 1977.
Allen is perhaps the team’s most dominant offensive lineman in its history. He made the Pro Bowl 11 times in his 12 seasons in Dallas.
Haley was considered the missing piece on the Cowboys defense in the early 1990s and played on all three Super Bowl teams during that era. Over his career, Haley won five Super Bowls, which is the most in NFL history. He finished his career with 100 sacks.
