Time to take all that talk of Baylor's "Big 12 takeover" seriously. Like they say in the Lone Star State, "It ain't bragging if it's the truth." Robert Griffin III passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in leading No. 25 Baylor to a 30-22 win over reeling Texas on Saturday night, the Bears' first victory against the Longhorns since 1997. Texas A&M - 45 (5-3, 2-2 Big 12)

Ryan Tannehill had a school-record 449 yards passing and four touchdowns in his first career start and Cyrus Gray ran for two more scores as Texas A&M beat mistake-prone Texas Tech 45-27 on Saturday. READ MORE

Memphis - 17 (1-7, 0-5 C-USA)

Freshman quarterback David Piland passed for a career-high five touchdowns and Houston routed Memphis 56-17 in a Conference USA game Saturday night. Piland completed 20 of 23 passes for 292 yards, with two scoring tosses to Patrick Edwards. The Cougars (5-3, 4-1) improved the conference's highest-scoring average to 41.5 points a game with their second-highest output of the season, and remained tied with Southern Methodist in the league standings. UCF- 41 (5-2, 3-0 C-USA)

Ronnie Weaver ran for three touchdowns and freshman quarterback Jeff Godfrey passed for one and ran for another, leading Central Florida to an easy 41-14 victory over Rice on Saturday. The Knights (5-2, 3-0 Conference USA) are off to their best start since 1998, setting up next Saturday's game against East Carolina for the lead in the league's East Division. READ MORE

Tulane - 17 (3-5, 1-3 C-USA)

Kyle Padron threw an 82-yard touchdown pass to Aldrick Robinson to break a fourth-quarter tie, then scored on a 3-yard run to seal Southern Methodist's 31-17 Conference USA victory over Tulane Saturday. Padron passed for 354 yards, completing 18 of 32 attempts. But none resulted in a score until he connected with Robinson on a second-and-10 play at the SMU 18 with 8:32 left. The Mustangs (5-4, 4-1), who went into their 21-point fourth quarter trailing by a touchdown, took a 24-17 lead as a result. READ MORE

Marshall - 16 (2-6, 1-3 C-USA)

Tron Martinez gained a career-high 116 yards and scored on a 1-yard plunge with 1:47 remaining to give Marshall a 16-12 victory over UTEP on Saturday. Martinez's score, the first of his career, was set up by a personal foul penalty on the Miners. The Thundering Herd (2-6, 1/3 Conference USA) appeared to tie the score at 12 on Tyler Warner's 19-yard field goal with just under 2 minutes to play. W Kentucky - 6 (1-7, 1-3 Sun Belt)

Lance Dunbar rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns as North Texas defeated Western Kentucky 33-6 in a Sun Belt conference game Saturday. It was the Mean Green's first game under interim coach Mike Canales -- 10 days after North Texas (2-6, 2-3) dismissed Todd Dodge, who compiled a 6-37 record in parts of four seasons. READ MORE

Northwestern - 23 (3-4, 2-1 Southland)

Paul Harris passed for two touchdowns and scored on a 1-yard run in the second overtime to give Northwestern State a 23-20 win over Sam Houston State on Saturday night. The Demons (4-4, 3-1 Southland Conference) won their third straight game while the Bearkats dropped thier second in a row following a 31-28 loss to Stephen F. Austin. READ MORE

SF Austin - 24 (6-2, 3-1 Southland)

Tim Hawkins accounted for three touchdowns and Texas State scored all of its points in the fourth quarter to rally past Stephen F. Austin 27-24 Saturday. Hawkins scored on a 1-yard run and threw TD passes to Darius Bolden and Daren Dillard, the latter coming with 1:10 to play as the Bobcats (4-4, 1/3 Southland) ended the Lumberjacks' six-game winning streak. Miss. Valley St - 7 (0-8, 0-7 SWAC)
Tex Southern - 38 (5-3, 5-1 SWAC)

Texas Southern held Mississippi Valley State to 109 yards of total offense Saturday en route to a 38-7 victory. Arvell Nelson threw two touchdowns and ran for another for the Tigers (5-3, 5-1 Southwestern Athletic), who have won four straight. READ MORE

UNLV - 6 (1-7, 1-3 MWC)

Andy Dalton threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns, Jeremy Kerley scored running and receiving, and No. 4 TCU dominated defensively again to stay undefeated with a 48-6 victory against UNLV on Saturday night. TCU (9-0, 5-0 Mountain West), which was also fourth in the BCS standings, heads into a huge conference showdown at No. 8 Utah (8-0, 5-0) having allowed 16 points in the last five games. READ MORE
