Rangers are making use of the Long Ball to Win

Getting on base does not necessarily mean your going to score. You have to count on your teammates to get a hit or two so that you can advance around the bases to home plate. Since batters fail more often than they succeed, the chances of getting around the bases is really pretty slim.
With that in mind on Tuesday the Texas Rangers decided they would bypass the issue and just hit the ball out of the park.
Through five innings the game was pretty close with the Rangers trailing the Yankees 3-2. With Nelson Cruz on first and two outs the Yankees gave an intentional walk to the go-ahead run in David Murphy thinking catcher Bengie Molina would be the easier out. Molina proceeded to give the Rangers their first lead of the game with a three-shot deep over the left field wall.
