Women's Gymnastics

Judges have been scoring the Chinese team higher than they deserved all night. Sort of ridiculous. Then on a nearly perfect routine by the American team, far more deductions than necessary. And I'm not just thinking that, the guys on tv have noted the same discrepancies.

Yeah i've noticed that not just tonight but pretty much all olympics long so far. It just makes me hate these subjective judging sports even more.

Incidently I'm getting sick of watching these 8 year old girls from China get the benefit of the doubt on some of these routines.

Same here. In some competitions they've deserved very good scores, but I've also seen some absurdity. Their scores have often been way higher than deserved. I agree about subjective events, they're completely prone to fraudulent judging and favoritism.

Even with all the BS, our two top gymnasts got it done tonight and went 1, 2. A huge congratulations tonight. You made us all proud.

Yeah our girls pretty much had to put on performances that took it out of the judges hands and were so good that lower scores would have become problematic for the judges.

Still, a thrilling gymnastics turnout!

Nastia got screwed with that tie breaker BS tonight. They could have given them both gold medals like everyother sport does.

Yes, that was some BS tonight. The worst rip off was with the vault competition. The American got beat by the Chinese girl that landed on her KNEES on her dismount. Give me a f'ing break.

I can't believe I'm upset over a gymnastics competition, but I guess that's what patriotism does. On a side note I think handball is the weirdest olympic sport ever it's like basketball and soccer.

that was absolute bull. i mean, it would have been a bit easier to accept if the chinese actually used legal aged girls. but still, nastia had the better routine last night. i am not american and i can still say that.

yeah the downside to subjective sports. the women's vault was rediculous. they need to take some of the subjectiveness (if that's a word) out by making mandatory dedcutions with a set number, you land on your knees thats 1 pt.

handball is fun though, i played it during college lots of fun. it is a mix between soccer, bball, and i guess a little hockey with the checks and pushing. dribble while you run all you want, can only take 3 steps if you want to run then must pass it.
