yea i hate those rope stoppages too but im a pride fan so im used to the ring. Dana White finally admitted that he was impressed by fedor... perhaps he will realize his mistake for offering fedor such a low deal.

Yeah, big mistake on his part, but it was cool seeing Randy in the ring with him and also the appearance of Tito.
Also, what the hell was Don Johnson doing in the ring right after Fedor won standing in his corner? Did Russia finally start getting reruns of Miami Vice there or what?

He's (D.J.) trying to get his man-card back. He's been out of the public eye too long.

Well the longer we wait for this thing to happen the better it stands for Fedor. Randy is what 43, 44 now? Fedor is a better mat technician where Randy's strenght is in his ground and pound and dirty boxing skills. If Randy can get him in a on the ground and use that, then he has a chance, but the problem is getting Fedor down and keeping him down.

If there is one guy who could beat Fedor and it not be an upset I would have to say it's Randy. He has an history of beating guys he shouldn't.

The main event GSP should win, but like I said before if Fitch wins I will not be suprised,
I think Heath has a punchers chance against Brock, but I see Brock winning this one.
The Huerta-Florian match is gonna be the fight of the night I think. To tought to call, but I think that Huerta has the advantage.
Of the Maia-Mcdonald match, I don't know much about Mcdonald, but Maia is good.
Of the undercard, the only matches I would like to see are the Manny Gamburyan-Rob Emerson fight and the Cheick Kongo-Dan Evensen match.

I don't know if the Spider could handle Fedor's power and strength. Since we are talking what if's, If the Spider could match Fedor's power and strength, I would give it to the Spider. The man is a technician of the MMA who is economical and accurate with his punches and there are very few who can match his abilities on the ground. I almost forgot......the man has unbelievable poise.......he just doesn't get rattled!

This just posted on Yahoo

Sources have told Yahoo! Sports that free agent Tito Ortiz will fight Renato "Babalu" Sobral in the co-main event at Affliction's next fight card, on Oct. 11 at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas. The main event will feature a heavyweight bout between WAMMA champion Fedor Emelianenko and Andrei Arlovski.

Affliction vice president Tom Atencio would not confirm the Ortiz-Babalu fight. He said details for the fight card will be released during an Aug. 6 news conference that most likely will be held in Las Vegas.

Atencio also indicated that he didn't think Affliction could speak with Ortiz until Aug. 4 because of a 60-day non-compete clause in Ortiz's UFC contract. Ortiz's last fight for UFC was on May 24 at UFC 84. If the 60-day clause is accurate, the deal ended last weekend. Atencio said the biggest stumbling block for an Ortiz deal would be the financial terms.

Affliction would seem to have the inside track at signing Ortiz, a former UFC light heavyweight champion (15-6-1, 14-6-1 UFC). He and his girlfriend, Jenna Jameson were conspicuous during the Affliction "Banned' event, sitting next to Affliction partner Donald Trump. Ortiz and Trump developed a relationship during the most recent season of The Apprentice.

Sobral told MMAJunkie.com that Ortiz is the fight he wants.

"That's my dream fight," a smiling Sobral said. "I'm looking for another guy. Wait for the name. It's coming. I think Tom (Atencio) is going to bring a name for me. And I'll be here to kick his ass."

Babalu's relationship with UFC ended in August of 2007. Sobral (30-7, 6-4 UFC) was released from his contract after a controversial win over David Heath. Sobral would not release a choke even after referee Steve Mazzagatti stopped the fight. Babalu won his Affliction debut on Jul. 19 with a unanimous decision over Mike Whitehead.

Because Affliction is not a licensed promoter in Nevada, Roy Englebrecht will serve as the promoter. Englebrecht was the promoter of record of the Banned card at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

So Tito is jumping ship since he can't cut it in the UFC anymore. Maybe he'll dominate Affliction.

Tito and Dana White had a huge falling out, I think it all started when Tito backed out of the boxing match that they were suppose to have. Besides, the UFC already has all the the top notch Light Heavyweight under contract anyway.

I'm sure you're right about this, but the source of my comments come from watching his last fight against Lyoto Machida. Lyoto exploited the fact that Tito's stand-up game sux. Tito looked terrible and I was actually rooting for him. Tito could not impose his will on Lyoto and get him to the ground. Truthfully speaking, I don't know how much of this was Tito sucking or the fact that Lyoto is that good.

Tito did look like he didn't train or didn't care as much cause he knew it was his last match in the UFC. Not taking anything away from Lyoto, he did win that match with out a doubt, but going back to UFC 73 I think it was when Tito was penalized a point in the 2nd round for grabbing the fence, otherwise he would of beat Rashad Evans. There is no doubt Tito still has some stuff in his tank. The match against Babaloo should be a good one.

i think fedor>silva. the man routinely dominates guys bigger than him which shows his strength. it would definitely be a great matchup but my pick would be fedor.
