Ideas sought for A&M-SA mascot Web Posted: 07/03/2009 12:00 CDT Ideas sought for A&M-SA mascot Express-News Texas A&M-San Antonio is asking for San Antonio residents to help choose a mascot and colors for the fledgling university. Ballot boxes will be placed all over town through July 31 at all Valero Corner Stores and SACU Branch locations, and online at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Submit by mail or in person to 1450 Gillette Blvd., San Antonio, TX, 78224. Suggestions will go to mascot and color selection committees, which still are being formed and will consist of students, faculty, staff, alumni, foundation board members and community members. To apply to be on the committee, visit Texas A&M University-San Antonio. The committees will select three finalists for colors and mascot, then put them to a citywide vote online.
