SAN ANTONIO -- The Olympic medals of local swimmer Josh Davis were reported missing earlier this week, the Olympian's attorney confirmed to KSAT 12 Sports.
Davis filed a police report Monday for the medals he believes were either stolen or misplaced over the weekend, the San Antonio Express-News reported on its Web site.
Arden Specia, Davis' attorney, said they are offering a monetary reward for the return of the medals, but declined to report an exact amount. She said the United States Olympic Committee has been contacted about the missing medals, but were told the medals can't be replaced.
Davis told KSAT 12 Sports that he was watching his children's basketball game on Saturday between 2 and 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Cornerstone Christian School when he believes the three gold medals and a silver medal he won during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney may have been taken from his unlocked vehicle.
Davis won three gold and two silver medals during his Olympic competition, including three gold medals at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Anybody with information about the missing medals is asked to contact 210-222-8181.

Sounds like some dumb jackass had a bright idea, half an hour of an adrenaline rush, and is now probably crapping his pants trying to figure out what to do.
Can't exactly take Olympic medals to the pawn shop on Perrin Beitel or something. Maybe la pulga?
