Spike TV is a basic cable channel. Don't a lot less people have HBO? It is a premium channel.

I'm not bashing either, except that I'm tired of people, usually MMA fans, negatively citing boxing in comparison to MMA, because I too enjoy both. I personally never got why there had to be any comparison at all. MMA's got a great, hardcore audience, boxing has lost some luster but still has its core fans. Spike's probably very excited to be getting somewhat comparable ratings to what WWE got when it was on.

I'd choose UFC over boxing any day of the week.
