George's Return To Dallas Mavericks More Unlikely

At least six teams are interested in Devean George, according to the Dallas Morning News, but after signing DeSagana Diop there may not be any money left for him in Dallas.

"I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope right now," Donnie Nelson said. "We're pretty far apart as far as the numbers go."

The Phoenix Suns, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New Orleans Hornets have expressed interest in George. According to the report, Boston may also enter the mix after losing James Posey to the Hornets.

George will end up signing with someone for a little over $1 million. There's not much left in cap room, and even among the FAs left, he's not one of the first guys to come to mind. At this point, I'm sure if he'd bring much value to the Spurs even if we could sign him for cheap.

Devean George is one of the worst basketball players in the history of the NBA. He strapped LA with his contract for five years, then contributed zero in Dallas, just as I predicted. Is it not blatently obvious how horrible this guys is? How he still gets paid to play ball is absolutely beyond me. There are better guys in the Y league.

If we sign Devean George, it will officially signal a panic in the Spurs' front office.

Who's better Finley or George?

Maybe Finley can sign with Dallas again to retire a Maverick. Would that be allowed?
