I don't know about friends, but Kobe has never made it a secret how much he admires Manu's game. And as we all know Manu admires and respects Kobe's game. Although in the past I've known Kobe to act more friendlier towards Tony usually grabbing his head, and always jabbering with him during a game.
i doubt theyre good friends, but kobe respect manu to the max. i'll never forget this but during a regular season game, manu hit the deck and kobe RAN to help him up. he beat out oberto lol.

* Summer Olympic Games gold medal: 2004
Was that a press conference or something staged, or something different altogether?
I think it's cool that Kobe gives Manu respect but I doubt they hang out. Manu doesn't seem like he hangs out with a lot of NBA players, but then neither does Kobe, so perhaps they have some similarities.

i woudn't be surprised if they're friends, the same way our tony parker seems to be friends with every single pg in the league. kobe's even been on tony's radio show and all that, though it is a well known fact that kobe is extremely introverted socially. i just think it's funny because as spurs fans, some of us seem to EXPECT that our team's players hate these guys, when in reality it's only the fans who hate and don't respect them.

is a secret.... but, during silent, lonely nights... kobe goes to his hidden place and took a manu black jersey and he puts on, and just enjoy mirroring his image.... just to hide again his secret clothes... until another day...
I think Manu is really only close to the other players from Argentina but other than that he's not really close to any of the other players in the league. Unlike Tony who's seen having a good time with a bunch of the players around the league, Manu seems to really keep to himself a lot.

Yeah. Kobe always did respect Manu and has always paid high respects for Manu and his game. IMO however Manu is not a type of a player you really like when you come to face him on the court a lot, bc Manu irritates the hell out of ppl. lol:
I agree with you. I think Kobe likes Tony personally better. BTW did Kobe attend Tony's that big party in Vegas, last all star game?
