Stretch won't be day at the beach for Spurs
By Jeff McDonald - Express-News

Quote:
MIAMI — The Spring Break revelers were already out en masse long before the Spurs' charter plane touched down here Monday afternoon, engaged in a bass-bumping, beer-bonging beach bacchanal that will go on for the better part of the month.

The Spurs, meanwhile, are in Miami this week for a more businesslike purpose.

Aware tonight's game against the Heat marks the start of their season's decisive stretch, the Spurs bused directly from the airport to American Airlines Arena for a practice session before checking into their hotel.

Might just be a good measuring stick to determine if the Spurs can compete with other than sub .500 teams and are worthy of playing in the post season. Hopefully, they have regained some level of confidence over the past week to get them to the level the FO thoght they should be playing at when these guys were first brought together. GO SPURS!!!

Given the hole the Spurs have dug for themselves, the reality is that the playoffs are beginning right now.

This is gonna be a hellish gauntlet of elite opponents and back-to-back ordeals. We can only hope that SPAM is in effect this year and that no one else gets injured.

Conversely, this could be a long opportunity for the Spurs to shine.

We'll be OK during this last stretch.
We'll just keep getting better.

I hope this is a good run, we have been waiting for them to play hard and win all year long against good teams, now is their shot.
