I seen this headline and was think that we could be that third team that maybe could help this trade work.... Source: Suns 'Desperately' Want Iguodala CSN Philly - 02/05 - 4:59 PM EST (AP Photo) The Suns are looking to deal Amar'e Stoudemire and they also have serious interest in 76ers forward Andre Iguodala. Philadelphia will listen to offers for Iguodala, but they aren't believed to be actively shopping him. An NBA source told CSN Philly that "Phoenix desperately wants Andre. They are pushing this. That I know for a fact." One possible deal would send Stoudemire to Philadelphia for Iguodala and center Samuel Dalembert.

| As per usual forum rules, we throw in some bench warmers, rights to foreign players who will never come to NBA and a bag of chips, and the other teams surrender their superstars no questions asked. And the salaries don't need to be match, not even remotely. |

This thread has nothing to do with the Spurs being mentioned with Amare last week or the fact that the Spurs probally would not land him but where the team that " would help" Amare get the deal done with a three way...

| They don't have the tools to make any real trade of value.

| Spurs have 3 guys expiring. However, none of them are that attractive individually and the Spurs aren't stocked with draft picks currently. Other teams can definitely offer more.

Ratliff and Bogans are such small contracts, they don't matter. I mean to say that none of them are that attractive. And, for any big contract, they need to give up a lot of players to equal out the salaries. Obviously, it really depends how much they think they can play with a smaller roster. But going back to the trade, the other team has to be able to take the roster spots. (Yes, they can waive, but they still have to have the slots to accept the trade, first). This means you need a 3rd team, or the Spurs have to take back (most likely) some bad expensive contracts. This would likely mean it would be difficult to bring Manu back (unless he's moving in a deal). Or perhaps, Splitter.

The Spurs around 24 million in expiring contracts... To me ( just like in the Jefferson Deal)we could net a decent player ( yes like you pointed out will have years left on there contract) if the Spurs WANT too....
