KG = Limping in Practice. Another Gilbert Arenas issue?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the NBA's race for a championship is far less interesting with Kevin Garnett on the sidelines. Nothing would have been better to see the Celtics defend their title at full strength last season, and nothing would be better than a full strength Boston squad -- plus Rasheed Wallace -- battling the Cavaliers and the Magic to come out of the Eastern Conference this year.

But while KG is indeed back to practicing with his teammates, as you'll see in the following video clip, his knee appears to be far from ready for the rigors of the regular season.

Now of course, it's possible that the injury has healed to the point where Garnett can't do any further damage, and it might be a case of him having to just work through the pain during the final stage of his recovery.

If that's what we're seeing, then Garnett's work ethic to continue his rehab while still in obvious pain is commendable. Let's just hope that he'll be able to make it back to a hundred percent at some point this season, and that we're not seeing something similar to what we saw with Gilbert Arenas last year.

Hey, they should be good enough to put him on the shelf and get completely healed, then play himself into shape. It would have him at his peak for the play offs. Always say an injury in October is much better than one in April--if one must have one. Much the same as with the Spurs.

He looks much better as the practice progress. Perhaps it's his first practice in long time and the articulations have to get used and work a little bit.

After what happened to Grant Hill, I doubt the doctors would let him practice if he were really injured. Without KG, the Celtics have no chances to win the title.

He might get a little better as he conitinues his conditioning, the problem I see is that he may not be fully healed and if I'm the coach, what the hell am I doing having him out there where he might get hurt again. I had a bad knee in my youth and that little hop that Kevin has won't go away anytime soon. He will do that hop whenever he has to change speeds or stop, he will probably have to adjust to this which I think he can, but then he might develop arthritis which will hamper him in back to back games and as the season wears on.

He may just need more rehab which is why I find it disturbing that he is out there.

Maaan..I dont like that..dude looks out of it..granted i didn't watch the whole vid, but if I was Celt fans I would be nervous.

As an NBA fan I want him to be healthy. Its just after 82 games a year of running up and down the court..and collisions..is his knee going to be any good after all that?
