Any recent news about Manu?

Since my Spanish reading skills lie somewhere between little and none, does anyone know how Manu's rehab is going? Is he working on the court yet? He remains an important part of our team's performance.

He said in his forum that his injury has healed, and that he is now running but still not doing any kind of court practice, nor shooting the ball.

He said he will wait untill he gets back to SA to start the heavy training because he was given a very strict rutine for his vacations.

Also said that the he will be ready for the team preparations in september before the preseason.

If Manu stays healthy, its hard to imagine many other players being able to bring more to the Spurs.

I wouldn't take it as much. Knowing Manu he's probably just bored to death not being out there and playing. I'm surprised they don't have him on a rehab program other than to rest.

Funny now that his brother is doing the long hair thing. He needs to grow his hair long and get rid of beard.

Taken from several interviews in Argentina with Manu: Throughout June he reported that he was mixing cycling and running on the treadmill, increasing time running to 15-20 minutes at a time, but, as instructed by the Spurs training staff, no running on hard surfaces. He lifts weights for upper body strength. In July he will increase the intensity of his running, but will wait until he returns to SA and the watchful eyes of the training staff to really hit it hard (as instructed by the Spurs). Sounds like he's following directions and not overdoing it or rushing back this time, so let's praise him for that. Looks as though he'll be back in SA near the end of August or early September as he has a charity event for his foundation scheduled in his hometown for August 16.
