This is a meaningless question, but, would you guys rather have artest knowing now that he's playing for only six mil a year, or Jefferson at 14Mil. It's a tough one because I think Jefferson is more talented, but the extra money could've allowed us to get some solid players.

hands down artest, especially for less than half the money. but we've got rj, NEED to get sheed, and we'll be putting up a solid fight against the lakers. what was blatantly obvious in houston was that artest takes some TERRIBLE shots and ball-hogs... all i can hope for is for them to self-destruct, and hope we get sheed.

i wouldnt even say jefferson is more talented artest has some crazy skills as well. i think money wise its a no brainer in favor of artest who can also guard positions pg-pf where as jefferson could probably only guard 2-3 spots I think jeffersons the more dynamic offensive player maybe even more explosive but artest is better all around

if money is your only criteria, Artest if however you want someone who knows what it takes to get to the finals, is a true team player, can shoot the lights out consistently, can create his own shots, who can play defense, who is dependable, who you don't have to worry about, who will do whatever it takes to win, then RJ.

Doesn't matter. Artest wouldn't have come to San Antonio for the money the Lakers gave him. He went to LA to establish his identity as a star, so he could maximize his leverage when his bird rights kick in after this three year deal. It was never an opportunity for the Spurs. Spurs maximized what was available to them. Go get Odom.

Wait until we see what happens in LA with Artest. When Kobe is off the floor, or having either of his off nights, you'll watch Artest dribble, dribble, dribble into coverage and put up a bad shot. I watched it all year in Houston. Adelman did what he could, whether private or public. Nothing stopped him, when he thought he should be the number one option. As difficult as it is to believe, the man is very stubborn. His defense against any quickness is just about gone. I absolutely didn't want to see him in SA. He's living on his past reputation. He's not a great defender anymore. He's not a good shooter. Streaky, yes. Good, no. Leave him for LA. I think they got worse in the Artest-Ariza swap. |

We haven't had 2 quality Bigs since David Robinson and we managed to win 2 championships. If we don't sign another Big, it will be because Pop and RC have confidence in Blair and Mahinmi. I am starting to hope we don't sign anyone else to prove all of you panic stricken fans wrong! |
