Don't Give Up!!!

Hey guys you should not give up that easily just because Ron Artest signed with the lakers. The season haven't even started yet. So far we made the right decisions on picking up new players. Although i still think that the current players should take time on improving themselves. Here are some suggestions:

1. Tony Parker to practice shooting three's. Imagine his game right now if he can shoot it consistently from downtown. He'll surely be unstoppable.

2. Let George Hill be himself. (Meaning: let him play the way he did when tony and manu was out. scoring about 17ppg) it worked out for tony!!!

3. Focus on making FREE THROWS!!!! A lot of games we could have won if we made those shots!!!

That said I think that this might be our year to break the curse of EVEN years!!! GOOD LUCK SAN ANTONIO!!! I BELIEVE!!! WE ALL BELIEVE!!!!! GOD BLESS!!!

we still have a nice advantage of the fakers at the pg position but upfront theyll destroy us unles we get the right piece at center/pf

Wallace is the guy that can help the Spurs upfront. His length would give Gasol or Bynum difficulty scoring. No other free agents come to mind that could help us in that area the way that he could. He brings much needed toughness and experience.

i jus spoke to my lakers friend and he was just saying "repeat". I said not so fast. Honestly I dont know if this makes them a much better or even better team. Ariza is no way shape or form ron artest, but I feel that ron ron won't be performing up to the same level as he was in houston; or at least I hope not. Question is if they resign lamar b/c all along we have been thinking its lamar or ariza. Well its neither, its ron artest. MARK MY WORDS: IF LA LETS LAMAR GO, THEY WILL NOT BE AS STRONG. Lamar presents more of a difficulty against the spurs than artest. I hope we get SHeed, but the c's are really trying for him (we shud put forth that effort, maybe we have). If we dont get Sheed, we should offer the MLE to ODOM

If sheed ever goes to boston or orl, I say we sign Marvin Williams then try to deal R.Mason for Camby

If we lose out on sheed, go for Odom and make a trade for camby.

As for Artest, he WILL make the Lakers better. Ariza was good because of the focus on Kobe but now players will have to think about Artest. Hes also a better defender, will motivate his teammates better than Ariza.

I would love to secure a much better Center or PF. That would be great, but I have to be honest with you guys. I think we can win it all with what we have now! We could get Fab back, fill up our roster with some of the promising players on our summer league team, and beat anyone in the NBA.

If Manu stays healthy, I don't think there is a team out there that can stop us. I am definately NOT scared of the Lackers just because they signed Ron Artest. The Lackers are not a mentally tough team, and Artest doesn't do anything to help them out in that area. If you put a little pressure on the Lackers, Kobe still loses his ability to lead the TEAM, and we are well positioned to stop a one man show (unlike Orlando).

With that said,

LET'S STILL GO OUT THERE AND PICK UP A SOLID CENTER/POWER FORWARD LIKE RASHEED WALLACE!

If the Spurs CANT'T get a PF like Sheed or McDyese we will be short upfront vs the Lakers....

I am sorry....thats my two cents...

When Ron ron goes on one of his crazy shooting spells or just goes crazy, the lakers will implode or come unraveled. There are not enough balls for him and Kobe to shoot with abandon.

add in gasols demanding of the rock down low. It will be interesting to see how the shot selection is divided up. Lakers averaged 85 fg attempts last season. Pau got 13 , Kobe 21, Odom 9, Ariza 7, Bynum 10, Fisher 8. Artest averaged 15 shots a game. Lakers replaced 15 shots a game (Artest) with Ariza's 7. So shots will be down for everyone on the Lakers squad, that is, aside from Kobe

Richard Jefferson is an offensive weapon, Pop just have to unleach his power and let him be involved with the schemes and he shall be a good force along with Tim and Tony, and maybe Manu in case he got healthy enough- Don't count Manu out yet too!!.

I know we will get one of those FA Bigs, either Sheed or Dyess or someone of their caliber.

I ain't giving up on my Spurs FO. They are DETERMINED on getting it done and they will bring us Home come end of this off season, just be patient and you will see...

Go Spurs Go

i don't understand how anyone can give up with artest going to the fakers. no one's played a signle game yet. and although championships can be LOST in the off-season (drafts, free agents) they are only won in JULY.

we still have to see how well or poor blair/mc clinton/ and jefferson do playing in our system. I don't care who the fakers have if we are healthy and have those three additions clicking we are formidable for anyone and we should be feared. we are hungry!!!

So far so good with the SPURS got RJ, and blair. Now blair can learn from Duncan, like Duncan with Robinson.
