Drew Gooden may make mistakes sometimes on defensive rotations, may hoist up a few too many jump shots, but let it be known that he's the second best post player on this team and he's the best post up player outside of TD the team has had since Robinson playing. I hope Pop continues to give him 20-30 minutes a night because he provides the team that Kurt Thomas, Bonner or Oberto doesn't -- low post scoring. He provided TD with nice help tonight with 20 points. |

Yeah, he needs closer to 30 a night. I agree with you here totally. The guy has been playing some monster ball, I've been quite impressed. I didn't think Pop would give him as much PT as he has so far. I didn't think Drew would come out and play like he has, he's been a beast. I'd love to resign him for something affordable. He is also fairly well spoken (many wouldn't have guessed with his ChiTown image). He sounds like he has a slight southern or texan accent to his voice. |

I agree and after watching tonight's game and watching Bonner park his can out at the 3 point line and being completely useless for rebounds or any kind of inside game I've become even more convinced that Gooden could be the difference for this team, Tim even seems more relaxed and effective with him in there....

I've noticed that too. And this is Gooden's moment to shine. He's headed for the playoffs alongside two all-stars and a #20 vacancy. If he's got the right stuff, we'll know soon enough.

I really liked the way the new big 3 were playing because they know parker is affective anywhere so parker could jus penetrate fake the shot pass out to duncan or gooden on both sides and they would finish , was really effective in the last 2 quarters.

I knew he could score, but he showed some hustle last night and got some monster rebounds and put backs, and played D pretty good. I'd love to see him play more.
