As silly as this sounds, a Spur win on the road against the Hawks would be significant. It's the 2d night of a back2back. There's been some travel. The Spurs have crapped out in Hotlanta the past few years.

Let's get a win and start a roll as we head into March.

No Sean Elliott?!!!

It seems like it has been weeks since NBALP used a Spurs broadcast for the games, and when they finally do, it's on a night with NO SEAN ELLIOTT!

Well the end of the 3d quarter was the unfortunate reality we're coming to expect from these Spurs. Dear God, let's not waste Manu's brilliant performance. Blowing this game will just indicate that the little win streak was a minor fluke and that this Spur team still doesn't have it together.

Looks like Manu is simply refusing to let this team lose. A one-man 7-0 run to start the 4th.

Is somebody gonna lend a hand or is Manu gonna hafta do this on his own?

That's the big difference between the old TP and the new TP.

The old TP would suck for the wholw game, the new TP keeps playing

GREAT play by Brent.

Huge game by Manu, TD and Brent

A win is a win, so there's no complaining here.

But it's a concern that the Spurs are relying on breathtaking offensive performances instead of being able to shut down the other team. At key moments, the Spurs D gets porous, and that spells trouble up ahead.

back to back against an extremely athletic, young, and hungry team that we as of late have lost to a couple of times at their place...everything considered, im happy.

we got outrebounded and they shot a better fieldgoal %...

how did we still win? one word..."GINOBILIII!"...you just cant accurately put his game down on a statsheet

Breathtaking offense Not when Tony shoots 3-14 and the team shoots below 43% overall.

If our two C's have a combined 10 fouls in 24 minutes, and Bonner goes another slow 12 minutes, Pop has no choice but to go small. That's tough against all those athletic rebounding swingmen from Atlanta.

I am satisfied with this win.

Spurs 103 Hawks 96

Back on the road one night after their win over Denver, the Spurs used a record-setting performance from one of their stars to get a 103-96 win over the Hawks.

Manu Ginobili caught fire in the first half scoring 24-straight points for the Silver and Black in an amazing offensive display. The Spurs built a 16 point lead, but the Hawks would use a 27-18 third quarter to tie the game headed into the fourth.

Despite finishing a back-to-back, the Spurs had the energy to rise to the challenge. Brent Barry scored 11 points in the final quarter and Manu nine, to seal the deal.

Manu set a Spurs season-high with 40 points off the bench. Tim Duncan scored 30 points and Brent Barry finished with 18.

I don't know when was the last time. But if I'm not mistaken, the game Manu poured 48 on Phoenix, Duncan had 30.
