The Candi man can?

The spurs need size and they need it cheep, like vet min so why not give Michael Olowokandi a try? Off the bench, for the right price, the Candi man can.

The Spurs signed Rasho as a free agent over him if that tells you anything.

Should I go ahead and start my "Frank Brickowski out of retirement" thread or should I wait?

Then quit posting on it. Seems like some of you just wait for someone to come up with what you think is a ridiculous idea to shoot them down. If you disagree thats fine but quit b****ing about this thread when you keep posting on it.

I rather bring Mark Eaton out of retirement than watch Candi Man doing winded sprints up and down the court in a Spurs uniform.

If you want Kandi, he has two more years left on the 5 year contract he signed w/ the T-Wolves in the Summer of 2003 and is now the Celtics to deal w/.

Who in their right mind would try and get him?

You sure about that? ESPN and Hoopshype both have him as a free agent. Neither site is perfect, so you could be right. Just curious....

This part I know you're sure about.

You could be right. NBA.com also has him as a FA, but I thought he signed a 5 yr/ $16 mill. contract w/ the T-Wolves. I am probably wrong.

Had no idea it was just a three-year contract. My bad.

Olowokandi for $1M contract could be someone to guard Yao or Shaq in the playoffs. The Spurs would have kept Rasho for $1M. $7.5M per year for an ocasionally used backup was overkill. With him on the roster, the Spurs could focus on a good PF, that are more available than good C's. Duncan is already one of the best center in the NBA.

1 million for his size is attractive, but Kandi is a locker room cancer.

Give Kandi Man a break. I know he has underachieved and his attitude is questionable but he is still more talented than most big men in the league. He has pretty good footwork, good size, good hands and lastly he has some moves down on the block. He needs a coach like Pop and role model like Duncan to help him polish up his game and his attitude while he is still young.

There are very few legit Centers in the league now a days.
Ben Wallace Yao
Shaq B.Miller
Kaman Ilgauskas
Bogut

Even if he played for free, Candyman would be subtraction by addition.
