Bricks: Isiah gets one year

James Dolan said today that he is giving Isiah one year to produce significant improvement with the Knicks or he'll be canned. He also said hiring Larry Brown was a mistake.

A year from now, will Dolan be able to find anybody willing to take either of Isiah's jobs?

Thomas sucks but the owner has already determined he is going to fail....the players will know its only a temp fix till Thomas gets canned so why would they play any harder for him than they did under Brown?

Why even give Thomas a year? If the owner doesnt want him he should just fire him and move on

This is so true. Either you want Isaiah running the team or you don't. What a disservice to the organization to issue an 1 year ultimatum. Dolan failed with his Voom TV venture and he is failing miserably with the Knicks.

he doesnt deserve anything. He's F'ed up as a GM has never shown to be a good coach in the past....the owner issuing a one year ultimatum is just going to show the players that Thomas is a 100% LAME DUCK coach and GM

what motivation is going to be around that franchise to improve next year? its clear Thomas is NOT in the longterm plans of Dolan anymore

Whats amazing is that you fire a proven and respected coach and keep the one person who rode this team into the ground! Thomas has proven he can't trade, draft or manage a team!

Should have let Larry Brown run the team and fired Thomas' butt a long time ago.

Does it matter? U might as well give Thomas a shot to turn it around.....because the chances of anyone else doing it is STILL slim.

Honestly for some reason...I think he has the best chance of changing it around.....because it was HIS vision in the first place....no matter how jacked up a vison it is.
