Lisa Salters, ESPN-ABC sideline reporter who is covering the Heat during the NBA Eastern Conference finals, is permitted to eavesdrop on team huddles.

Only in basketball can a reporter get this close to strategy sessions.

"It's a matter of trust," Salters said before Game 2 Thursday night in Detroit. "They know I'm not going to reveal state secrets. Some of the talk is pretty complicated anyway ... like `55C to the right.'"

basketball is a weird sport ... fans sitting courtside, the gameball going into the crowd occasionally then going right back into play (you dont see that in other sports)
