Thank you Mike. I really, really wanted to win for the faith you put in us. I'm sad that we came up short but totally grateful that you're on this side of the street. I hope you're not feeling like you made a mistake. I think you'll see the fans, the city and the team gear back up to start lining up the butt kickings for next year. With a little luck, no one will get hurt seriously and we'll be ready to rock come playoffs in 2007. Stick around a while Mike and get to know us a little better. We're not Chicago, but I think you'll find that we have your back and will always be willing to slide a chair over and invite you to the table. Thanks man. Can't wait until next year! |

I was slow getting on the Finley bandwagon, but glad I finally came to my senses. He has the game, the class...and the clothes--glad he's a Spur for a few more years. Only wish they could have won him a ring this year (and that he could have gotten another poster-perfect dunk over Dampier).

Micheal Finley is a trooper and a class act. I hope he's ready next season. I really like him having a 3rd or 4th scorer role, as oppose to just another player coming off the bench. He deserved the minutes he got in these games, and he'll deserve them next year imo. |

I love FINLEY!!!!!!!!! Great playoffs and late season for him, he adapted well late.

finley played like a monster, he stepped up big time, it was almost like seeing him in his rookie season again, with the power dunks. dont worry mike, we will get you a title, and will put out dallas once and for all in doing so. |

Spurs fans, don't get too carried away. Fin is a good guy, you're right. But the Mike Finley who made huge shots in this series never showed up in the playoffs in his entire career in Dallas. Think back to Spurs-Mavs series in the past...were you afraid when Mike Finley had the ball in crunch time? Fin was amped for this series, and played much better than anyone could have expected. Hats off. But the rawness of this rivalry will wear off for him, and it will be back to the way it used to be. Don't get your hopes too high. Quote:

Thank you Finley. Don't worry, you will win a ring with us next year. Also, your previous team will not win the championship this year. They are no match for Detroit so they will just hurt even more than us when they are eliminated.

Finley...you showed you belong this year. How you handled yourself in this series--all class. Dallas won't be getting rings this year, and by next year, you'll have shaken any feelings you had for your former team, if you haven't already! Before you know it, they'll be taking your ring size for the 2007 Champion Spurs!!! |
