TNT did a good job in baiting a couple of mavs players into making quotes that would make for real good motivation in the Spurs locker room.. In interviewing devin harris, cheryl miller asks him... You gotta feel a little greedy in that you could have gotten both games and go home up 2-0? devin's reply- "Yes! We should be up 2-0. We played well enough to win both games, but I'm happy to get this and head back to dallas." I think the nba tried to give you game one schedulewise, and though I hate to use the refs as an excuse, game two was helped along by the officiating. So yeah, you should have been up 2-0. To the Spurs credit, they got game one... As for the second mavs player, magic johnson asks dirk if the mavs have arrived? dirk replies, "Oh yes. We definitely have." Sorry dirk. The last time you guys left san antonio with a split, the Spurs came back to the Riverwalk sweeping both games on your court. While I imagine that you will have your crowd into that game 3 coming up, I am sure the Spurs will find a way to take them out of it and the Spurs back on top of the series and with homecourt by games' end. You best hope the mavs win game 4 or else

I agree with Joe Tango. The Mavs played about as well as they possibly can - they only turned it over 6 times. And, we played about as badly as we possibly can, with the exception of Tim. And although I don't want to blame the refs for the loss, it was Absolutely astounding how horrible they were in the first half. |
