I don't think the Nets can beat the Pistons but I think they can push them.

It's pretty cool how about 90% of the crowd are wearing white shirts.

They're just supporting their team's decision to surrender.

That score doesn't even tell the tale, Nets were up by like 28 at one point.

I think NJ matches up better with Detroit then Miami does. Their 3 perimeter guys all give the Piston players problems. Kidd can bully Billups when he wants to, and RJ-Vince is a two handed monster for Rip and Prince to handle. I'm pulling for the Nets to win this series because they have atleast a chance to push Detroit to 6 games.

It an optical illusion.

The seats have white covers on them as well, making it look like everyone is wearing white AND that every seat is full.

MIAMI -- New Jersey forward Richard Jefferson injured his right ankle early in the third quarter of the Nets' Eastern Conference semifinal game at Miami on Monday night.

He would not return, team officials said. There was no immediate diagnosis of the injury's severity.

Jefferson appeared to get hurt with 10:18 left in the third quarter. He was treated briefly by trainers on the Nets' bench.

He finished with 20 points in 23 minutes, shooting 7-for-11 for the Nets, who led by 28 points in the third quarter of the series opener.

I really wouldn't be shocked at all if the Nets bounce the Heat out of the playoffs.

Most people shouldn't be shocked. The Nets, like I said before, are really tough to matchup with, they've the best 1/2/3 combo in this entire league. If the Spurs had to play the Nets I'd be as worried as the Spurs playing the Pistons.

I don't know why anyone's had any faith in the Heat all year. Aside from an aging Shamu and an extremely skilled Wade, they are a combination of mismatched old guys that hasn't gelled all year.

The Nets are far more coordinated. If RJ comes back (it looked bad to my eye: he just collapsed) and if the refs keep calling Shaq's offensive fouls (FINALLY!), I expect this to be a pretty short series.

I would much rather the Spurs play the Nets than the Pistons. Even if Vince plays like he did in the first round. Heck even if he plays like the best offensive player in the league I would still rather play the Nets. Why? Spurs simply matchup up better 1-5. Duncan won't struggle vs the Nets, he MIGHT vs the Pistons even IF he is healthy. That alone makes the biggest difference. Throw in Chauncey, Mcdyess off the bench, their rock solid overall lineup -- and they are easily the toughest matchup for the Spurs.

the heat did make it intresting at the end, but to no avail.

last i heard on jefferson was his ankle was sprained, no word yet if he plays game 2.

i hope the nets kick the heat's BUTTS. they played the pistons TOUGH all year, winning 3 out of 4 game, one of them at the palace. they could push that series to 6 or 7 games.

GO NETS!
