That's still not worth having to go through just to be captain.

Upon hearing that he was voted out as team captain, Tim was quoted as saying it was "basically retarded"

Probably a typo!

Well the spurs staff have been making a lot of typo's lately...

they sent us an e-mail offering us some tickets for the Wednesday, November 29th game Spurs vs Lakers.... I sent out the e=mail to everyone here at the company and got bombarded with phone call asking me well is it Tuesday November 29th or Wednesday November 30th????

so it's probably just a typo...

I am thinking type too.

But one thing that stands out that I haven't thought much before looking at this roster, almost everyone in our roster is a real veteran, except Tony and Beno (of course also Oberto who is new in NBA). Although relatively new in NBA, Manu is also exeprienced BB player. But everybody else has at least +7 years in NBA. And Tony is as experienced as any PG in terms of playoffs experience and 2 rings. So, with his age consideration and league experience, we know now why he is often relatively inconsistent compared to others and bashed.

The Spurs would have homecourt over the Heat if we were to meet in the finals.........

Oh, my bad. I didn't read the thread either.

This just in - it is rumored that the ritual involved in assuming the position of team captain for the Spurs involves allowing all of the other players to kick you repeatedly in the groin while showing no signs of pain.

Unfortunately, it appears that Finley did not have the powers of Evil Betty.

I wonder how many of them stood on desks and said "Oh captain, my captain" after hearing this?

PS: Spurs.com hasn't put a captain label on the roster page since David was here. True story.

tim's name is right above mike's. maybe they just put it in wrong column or since he had experience as C - they list him as such. but that is still weird since tim had been C.
