I'm changing my Finals MVP vote | |
Last June I thought Tim took the Finals MVP over Manu on the basis of the inertia provided by his stellar career, much like MJ's bridesmaid Karl Malone getting the '99 league MVP over second year Tim. But after seeing how mobile Tim was last night I realize just how limited he was in the playoffs by his injured ankles and how much effort and concentration it musts have taken to tough it out and lead his team even while clanging his signature bank shot because of his lack of lift. So the deciding factor wasn't inertia, it was grit.
