I know its only Preseaon but, it worked.

After listening to Spurs vs Pacers the other day, I wondered if teams would do the

same to beat our team. They made sure they stayed with their man thus allowing

Duncan to get ALL of his points. I know its only Preseaon but, it worked.

And as much as you all may say "it doesn't mean anything" it does, cuz that could

be opposing teams' defensive scheme vs Our Spurs. Of course, if our Defense was

up to par I'd say "TiMVP" there WOULDN'T be anything to worry about.

Its probably hard for the Spurs players to get excited about defense in a preseason game.

The Spurs are the deepest team in the league. Simply "staying with with their man" will not be enough for opponents to beat the Spurs, especially in a 7 game series. Plus, Pop is the king of adjustments.

On the one hand are the posts that say nothing means anything right now. On the other are all the "I know its only the preason but..." posts.

Sanity lies somewhere in between.

You know I really think you guys are making ridiculous posts just for something to do. We may start slow but it has nothing to do with the pre season games.
If it were up to Pop he would play two a few days apart and then start the season. The ticket still cost $$ so he can't say he could care less but he could care less. IT MEANS NOTHING. Pop experimented giving diferent folks a look in different situations. There are 82 games to prepare for the real season (the playoffs) so why would you put your eight (the usual amount in a real gae situation, unless it is a blow out) regular players in a preseason game unless they hadn't played together previously. We played over 100 games last year together except a few bench players and Nazi (who played 1/2 season and the playoffs, and is in a contract year. I think we may, with a little luck be able to sneak into the playoffs.

Stop with the nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know what is nonsense? People having the gumption to tell others they shouldn't post their opinions just because it's preseason.

When did preseason = no use talking about REAL topics?

people can post it...but people can also think it isn a real concern

I wouldnt even begin to get concered teams may have found something out on how to take out the Spurs because of something in a preseason game in which you know the players are not even going all out to win..or playing defense like you know the Spurs will bring to the table this year

preseason is nothing but a public practice for the coaches against someone other than your Bench

Pacers always do that, they're defense is about one-on-one defense more than helping or doubling....

It's only the preseason. Spurs are trying to let the new guys gain some team chemistry and making sure players dont get hurt.
