Your point is well taken, but most of the people who are "upset" over this are being sarcastic. No one with any common sense should be worried about our pre-season record.

Ok, first of all, there is no need for the yelling (all caps?!?). And even tho u are yelling, i kinda agree. i have my mom (who claims to be number one fan) complaining to me that pop doesnt know what he's doing, that this isnt good for the team. Its only preseason people. the only worries i have is, well i wont say cuz i dont wanna jinx.

Are you kidding? This 0-3 preseason record kills any chance of us making the preseason playoffs to get to the NBA Preseason Finals and winning the preseason championship. Duncan is once again denied his preseason championship ring.

A few years back, Pop was asked by a reporter why is it that San Antonio wins their NBA finals but not their preseason venues. He said that the preseason was not about winning but his oppurtunity to place certain players in situations and get a feel on how they do.

| Spurs Preseason Past 5 Years 2000-2001 we went 1-3 ended up going 58-24(If preseason were reg. season, 21-61) 2001-2002 we went 5-3 ended up going 58-24(If preseason were reg. season, 51-31) 2002-2003 we went 5-3 ended up going 60-22(If preseason were reg. season, 51-31) 2003-2004 we went 4-4 ended up going 57-25(If preseason were reg. season, 41-41) 2004-2005 we went 4-3 ended up going 59-23(If preseason were reg. season, 46-36) I know I just felt like throwing that out there. it is just preseason. right now teams are trying to figure out what works. experiment with different lineups. however, an 0-3 start is embarrasing no matter what the situation. spurs need to play like the champions they are

Someone should develop a special preseason W-L ranking that takes into account factors like ratio of total injuries to player, severity of injuries, and importance of players injured.
