those freaking timberwolves

why won't they lose? spurs have tie breakers, we need the wolves to lose one more game than us to catch them but they just won't lose.

on the bright side, a little breathing room with those pesky grizzlies.

Wolves still have two more clear chances to stumble - a game against Sac and the last game of the season against Memphis.

I wanted wolves to win this game against memphis 'cause they still have 2 loseable games left and memphis was on a hot streak and they have the tiebreaker over spurs as well. All that has to happen now is kings need to repay spurs the favour of beating wolves after we helped them by beating lakers.

WE NEED them to lose .. Unfortunately , w/ their remaining schedule it's just almost a given that they aren't going to lose ...

TPups are very good. They seem to have weathered the post-SI cover storm and have righted their ship. I'm regretting that last loss in Minny more than ever.

Actually, since we are 1.5 games back, we need them to lose 2 games... and then we'd have to win out.

Not true. Loss column is all that matters, as long as we own the tiebreaker.

That isn't correct.

We are only one game back in the loss column. If we end up tied, we also have the tiebreaker, so all we need is for them to lose one.

The extra .5 comes from us not playing as many games yet.

Edit Note: Sorry mathbio...you beat me to the response...

Nope. The Wolves are 1 game ahead in the loss column, and since the Spurs own the tiebreaker, all they need to do is tie with the Wolves and they win the division. If the Spurs win out, all we need is ONE Minnesota loss.

Oops. Two guys beat me to it. Oh well.

The wolves will stumble. tougher schedule than the spurs. and the first round curse will have them battling memphis, and losing.

First things first, Spurs must take care of business - 2 games against a hungry revitalized Blazers team.

As for Minny losing a game, it would be fitting for it to come down to the last game against Memphis. The Spurs have a history of winning the MW on the final day of the year. ;)

Forget the math!!!!!!! Pop isn't worrying about how Minny is going to finish...he'll make sure we play our games and not watch the scoreboard.

I think first things first is taking care of Seattle. Take nothing for granted.

I wasn't. Just pointing out 2 of the toughest games. We need to win every game. Any losses can still propel us out of HCA in the first round.
