... Denver expects Latrell Sprewell to sign with the Nuggets and join his friend and former teammate Marcus Camby.

This is a good fit for him, this should help Denver!

Seriously, Minny or Denver, he can't go wrong.

Now will he make enough $ to feed his family.

Denver fans have to be cringing.

What a renegade team. They were already the cockiest team in the league.

Actually David Stern has to be cringing. Kenyon Martin (no boy scout), coupled with chronic bad attitude Camby (all the way back to his UMass days when he dissed Tim), the impressionable young Melo (not wihout his own issues), and then you add on the quintessential veteran to hold everyone together. Sprewell? I thought Kiki was a smart guy.

The inmates will definitely run that asylum.

On the plus side, they'll sell mad jerseys. Denver became gansta heaven overnight. Can JR Rider be far behind?

they still dont have an answer for manu, so it may help them against other teams in the west but against the spurs it really does not make a difference, its like an ant bite to the spurs, it might itch for a minute then they'll just turn around and squash them

Not a bad move for the Nuggets, IMO. He's an improvement over DerMarr Johnson, but they should have gonne after Raja Bell or perhaps Dough Christie to match up better with the Spurs.

Looks like Denver is the new Blazers in terms of attitudes.

well that's good news for us if Fin decides to play elsewhere, it would be easier to pick up DeMarr Johnson, if the FO is really interested in him

He better hurry and sign before Denver comes to it's senses and realizes that Spree is at the mercy of them and not the other way around.

You can squish the ant but the bite will still itch. I may not like Spree that much but he should be able to help Denver with their frequent droughts from the perimeter. I agree with your analogy however - it shouldn't be too much of a problem for the Spurs. Kiki is just doing what helps the team win, not win awards for conduct. If their attitudes actually mesh, it only helps to convince me that Kiki is doing a commendable job.

If Denver does sign Spreewell they will probably use much if not all of their MLE to sign him therefore making it less of a chance they would sign NVE.

Here here to that! It would be so sweet if we could pick up NVE. He would be so fantastic playing combo guard and helping spell both Parker and Beno for a blow when necessary and keeping Barry honest when fighting for minutes. Just my take

It's interesting how so many are for signing NVE when they forget about the last year of Doc Rivers contract w/the Spurs who had bad wheels and seemed like a liability. Although, getting Charles Smith (PF) is another good example of having a player that's damaged goods, the PG position, imo, needs mobility moreso since they are in the open court and defending the other teams' PG. Yes, if NVE is fully healthy and capable then I am all for signing him up. Being realistic though, arthritic knees just don't dissappear. Not only that, there is a reason why NVE hasn't been signed by any other team....think this might be just one of the reasons?

As Amente stated in the past, NVE of 2005 needs to be compared to Wilkes of 2005 to see who would best be able to help the Spurs "on the court" and not "on the bench (IR)."
