"The Heat would not have defeated the Spurs in the Finals. Riley realized that a two-man team supported by a superb cast of role models needed another star or two. He's also in the hunt for Michael Finley." http://www.etaiwannews.com/Sports/20...1124512287.htm |

They didn't get there so the point is moot. They couldn't get past Detroit. I think more than anything the experience of getting to the ECF will really help Wade and make him and Shag more compatible. We'll see how they respond in the new season and how well the new guys fit in. I do know one thing, neither Mourning nor Haslem will be able to control a healthy Tim Duncan so that weakness is still there.

Whether they got there or not doesn't matter much at this point. What does matter is that this team is looking past it's Eastern competition and gearing up to challenge the Spurs. To me, that's the true sign of respect... not what gets coughed up out of people's mouths whether it be the media or players and coaches. |

Can't tell at the moment. It depends on the chemistry. They have numerous talented players and I don't think a team fail to get a Champ because it has too many all stars. It really depends on the chemistry and whether the players to scarifice their goals and ego for the sake of the team.

I still think the HEAt would have beaten Detroit with a Healthy Wade, but I dont' know about the Spurs. WE'll see this year -- the Heat will have to adjust to new players all over again... soooo

I don't buy the health crap its something Lakerfans used to spew whenever their team got eliminated. Wade could still play in game 7 and at one point was unstoppable in the third quarter but then suddenly didn't do anything after. I see Detroit or Indiana taking them out this year again.
