Laker fans - Riles or Zenmaster?

Here's my yearly olive branch to Laker fans - a thread about their team.

Which coach was better:

Pat Riley - 4 titles with Magic, Kareem, and Worthy

or

Phil Jackson - 3 titles with Shaq and Kobe?

(BTW - Spurs fans can jump in on this too. )

as a matter of fact, kareem won at UCLA, Worthy won at UNC, Macic won at MSU.
how many NCAA titles have shaq and kobe won? 0.
Riley's lakers would have run shaq off the court,copper would have have been under kobe's skin. kareem had a the unstoppable skyhook, what go to shot does shaq have?
byron scott and cooper would have been raining trey's all night long.
Riley's showtime went to the NBA finals 8 times(80,82,83,84,85,87,88,89,). against the likes of: DR J (83) bird (81,84,86) isiah (89,90). compared to jackson's 4 (00,01,02,04).
who did kobe and shaq win against? miller,iverson,kidd,? how many titles do those jokers have? 0.
but let's compare Riley vs jackson
Riley's knicks vs Jackson's bulls. riley had Pat Ewing and John starks, Jackson had
the Mighty Jordan and pippen, and still took his Bulls to 7games in 92, 6games in 93.
now if Jackson had the bulls of the 90's play in Riley's 80's there's no way in the World
jordan would have had 6 rings. magic,bird,isiah, and DR. J would have made sure of that.

I liked Riley's Lakers because they were more of a team. When one player
was having an off night, the team would adjust and carry the load.
I don't know how
much of that had to do with the players as opposed to the coaching.

Riley all the way, that was a pleasure to watch!!

(plus, I´ve always hated Jackson. I must say as I grew up into basketball through Magic I had a lot of love for the lakers, that love diminished greatly when Shaq arrived and definitely vanished when Jackson took over)

then you should probably get out more often. there are tons of people who like more than one team in a given sport. the kings are my favorite. i would rather see them succeed over all. but i still like the lakers. i love kobe.

yes but based on past history between the two teams...I have never heard of a Kings fan also being a lakers fan. That makes no sense

thats like saying it would be normal for a Spurs fan to also be a fan of the lakers...it just doesnt happen

if a spurs fan likes the lakers that's thier business. you've never heard of a person having a 1st and 2nd favorite team?

or is it just that the kings and lakers have had some verbal and physical altercations in the past so you would find it more difficult to understand how one can like both.

i bet if i said my 2nd favorite team was memphis you wouldn't have any questions about that would you? you wouldn't question a non threatening team like the grizzlies. two teams like memphis and sacramento that get along like two peas in a pod; one team a playoff contender and the other a lottery team at best getting an 8th seed.

i also like indiana. their fun to watch as long as they keep jermaine.

so your point is that tho sacramento made the playoffs for the 6th seed, their winning percentage was only 0.073 better than minnesota? terrible argument. either you make the playoffs or you don't.

They have 1 title as a franchise. The team then was based in Rochester and the team name back then was Royals. They won it in 1951.

The 80's Lakers would have beaten the Shaq/Kobe Lakers every year but 2001. That team was on fire in the playoffs. I'm still having nightmares about that 2001 Spurs/Lakers series. I think Jackson did more with less. Those 80's teams were loaded.

Z*n is better coach than Riley, but true to be said Shaq was allowed to foul on offense and defense, and Jordan could make really riduculous fouls on offense, and he received the benefit of to many BS calls.
