Nice to see our Spurs represented, and it is a testament to our great front office. I think even Ginobili's current contract could have made the list.

mike bibby should've been on that list. he turned the sacramento franchise from a 1st round team to a championship contender. immediately after the kings picked him up they went from being swept by the lakers to almost eliminating them. also after he was signed the kings posted a franchise high 61 wins with a division title and the following year 59 wins. he's now pouring out 19+ppg and over 6 assists per game

the article was about players with smaller contracts having big impacts, bibby has a fairly large contract, doesnt he?

Wow I didn't know any of the details about Duncan or his contract. I kind of wish someone would write a well-researched, thorough book about the Spurs. Like a David McCullough Truman or 1776, the book would take all the FO background and the different player and personnel opinions and make a cohesive narrative out of it. Just a thought. By the by, if there are any well written, well researched books on NBA franchises that any of you know about, feel free to drop a PM.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always felt that the ankle injury kept Manu from claiming the starting job from Steve Smith, I thought for sure that job was his, but with his injury, Pop probably didn't feel like waiting him out, and knew Smith needed to sit and he went with Sjax. That's just my feeling.

Check out the picture of Michael Redd (#5). Why the hell is that ref standing in the middle of the paint while Redd is attacking the basket and all those players are everywhere? He looks completely out of place.

Yet he's still overpaid.

PS: Jason Williams and Chris Webber turned the franchise from lottery to playoff bound did they not? Mike Bibby helped by being a better PG than Jason Williams.
