I didn't hear about their walleye expeditions, but I did see them in concert.

Classic!!!

Yeah, I figured unless someone created the "Gone Fishing" pix themselves that TNT wouldn't exactly PROVIDE them, since they didn't get the contract to televise the Finals.

I wish they did too.

it's still very disrespectful to a team who are clearly not one hit wonders. You don't win 50+ games 4 years in a row, win the title, make the finals and be 1 game away from repeating by being one hit wonders. If it wasn't for horry's shot then they would be champs right now.

hahahahahahaha are you serious!? yeah, horry won game 7 for the spurs too or what?

your talking about giving the pistons credit, yet you refuse to do so for the spurs... can you say hypocrite?

this isn't about the spurs, it's about the pistons

pistons had game 5 won until horry hit the game winner there was no game winner in game 6..pistons had that game under control. They would of won the title had horry shot not gone in. but there are many IF's and buts in the NBA and the spurs won and deserved it. doesn't mean pistons are some one hit wonder team

Horry single handedly beat the pistons, man, what an accomplishment!

he obviously did't do it on his own but without that performance and shot would the spurs had won the title? no is the answer

No is a possibility, as is Sheed not doubling Ginobili and Manu going in for the and 1. Oh, and Duncan tipping it in at the end of regulation. Oh while we're at it Sheed not doubling and Manu driving only to dish it to Brucey B for 3 or to Duncan inside for the and 1 or Pop subbing in TMass for the game winner or ... or... or...

these two statements contradict each other... you're saying both Horry didnt do it alone, and Horry's shot ALONE beat the pistons.

By the way, I need to stop thinking about basketball so much. I was reading a heavy heavy book today about M. M. Bakhtin (seriously influential 20th century Russian critic/philosopher/philologist) when I came across the following sentence:

"We do not win or lose; we renegotiate."

...and the first thing I thought of was Rip's 'borrowing their trophy' shot.

at self.

One hit wonder, that's actually not as bad as you think TheGame05. Go read those Lakers fans who called us S**p*, or Sterns for that matter. We still haven't won 1 legit championship according to them. And "one-hit-wonder" implies you already hit one.

I just don't like calling them One-Hit wonders because what did ppl call us in 2003....One-Hit wonders and IF we don't win it again we will be considered One-Hit wonders, I hated that ppl thought of us as that.

Ummm...that's the point. The Spurs won. The Pistons lost. Until this Pistons group wins another championship, they are "One-Hit Wonders."

The inspiration, the Temptations, did have more than one hit, so maybe the background was disrespectful to the TEMPTATIONS!!!!
