Nets and Heat- Going to OT

Miami 90
New Jersey 90

Kidd missed an open three at the buzzer that would have won the game for the Nets.

The Heat are being bailed out by the refs, this is horrible.

Seems like everyone thinks the refs are bailing out the Heat.

Nets should have won. They had SOOO many opportunities to knock down the open three and never did so. Say what you want about the officials, but 3/23 from three is quite pathetic. Too bad. I thought the Nets would win this one.

Bring out the broom!

It was a nice run in the end Nets.

One power forward, one rebounder away from being an elite team.

Did you see Cliff Robinson defend Shaq? He was actually not budging at all, and pushing Shaq further out. Must be true what KG said about him being one heck of a defender. Nets are lucky to have him. What stands out in my mind is the play where Shaq turned around, shot one that hit the shot clock, and go bailed out by Dick something. (one of the refs) Just terrible. Collins had his hands completely in the air and got KNOCKED DOWN...

I think it's funny how everyone on this thread wants the Heat to lose and Shaq to foul out. Hahaha, we know that won't happen. You know what they say - you can't buy the rings but you can buy the refs.

i dont care if the heat win or lose but the nets did have every oppurtunity to win this game.

I saw that bogus call against Collins, i was like

i know the NBA loves Shaq but couldn't they at least blow him behind closed doors where we dont have to watch it

Well, I like, "Zo is a fraud and a wannabe martyr", but yours is much catchier.

I didn't think the Nets had a chance going in, but the officials sure didn't have to protect Shaq the way they did.

I shouldn't be upset - I've seen it forever, or so it seems.

Atleast it gives me great pleasure to say that Heats are not winning the title this year.

No kidding. Shaq is not himself - that much is obvious. Maybe he can't be that guy ever again.

And those open threes won't be there against Detroit.

True that, but the Detroit-Miami series is going to be great to watch! I forsee alot of bodies getting knocked to the floor, very physical.

Truly, FT discrepency is deciding a lot of the games. Boston is getting spanked because they've been to the line half as many times, and I am watching the game. They are being very aggressive and getting turned away by the refs. Detroit-Miami is going to be a joy indeed

The second OT was ugly and annoying to watch. After Carter got the lucky bounce to go in at the end of the first OT the offense was sucked out of the arena.

It was a good game overall though.

the nets got "bavetta'ed" in this one.

the refs were handing miami the game and they still had trouble. they don't look like a championship team IMO.

That is going to be a classic series. Shaq vs the Wallaces. DWade going against TPrince.

I wanna see how the Pistons respond when Zo celebrates like he won the lottery after every basket me makes. And what's with the dance? But watching him celebrate after every basket he scores against the might frontline of the Nets is getting old.

i was thinking along the same lines....for being an 8th seed the nets sure did make a game out of it goin to 2 overtimes against a #1 Shaq team and they have no post presence whatsoever, not even accidently

I was busy watching Reg hop in that time machine once again.

But I recorded the end of the Nets game, I will be sure to examine it. Sounds like the Nets got screwed.

Doesn't matter, Heats are too good of a team.

Well, I guess the only thing for NJ to do is to overcome history, become the first team to come back from the 0- 3 deficit to win the series.

That seems to be a pattern I've seen in OT games. Players get tired and by the second OT no one has the legs to hit the jumpers or the zip to drive the lane effectively. If there was a third OT they might even have to start subtracting points.

I agree that Nets aren't oging to win this series anyway, But at least let them lose after getting a fair chance to win the games. Tonight's officiating was one of the worse that I have seen this season. No doubt Miami won cuz of the refs. i saw the replay again and again of shaq elbowing collins but yet collins got the foul, especially with the shot clock out. And I also think RJ should have gotten more possesions. Sure Vince made the shot when it counted, but he went like 12-35 or something. I mean WTF. You don't need to shoot that much when u suck when u have kidd and Rj. Rj came in with the nets losing by 7 and his energy turned that game around, but it seemed that at the last few minutes of the game, RJ didn't get to touch the ball , but anyway, even with the 8 on 5. Net's had plenty of chances to win the game. Too many missed shots and critical turnovers at the end of the game.

p.s. Alonzo, what a loser, all happy and giggly like a little school girl, he's gonna think he was the hero of the game now.
