Are the Spurs Missing a Piece?

A couple days ago I remember either hearing or reading an opinion by a sports writer that in light of the Spurs recent wins that “they are one piece away from being scary”. The Spurs, of late, have really started to come together as a ‘team’ and have been shooting very well, putting up unbelievable stats. Though I do not, in any way, want to jinx our team, I want to ask the forum these questions:

1. Do you think the Spurs are missing a player that would make them ‘scary’, and if so, who might that player(s) be?

2. Do you think this revived play will be affected by the reappearance of Pau Gasol to the lineup?

3. Do you think the Spurs will depart from past traditions and venture into any trades or place any player on waivers before the trade deadline? If so, who do you think the Spurs might go after in a trade and who would we have to give up in that trade? If the Spurs decide to waiver a player, who might that player(s) be?

The Spurs go after the Rockets tonight at the Toyota Center in Houston. GoSpusGo!!!!

Obviously, they are missing DJ. He made great strides last season, and he was poised for a breakout year. That injury has forced others (Bryne, DWhite, Dante) to shoulder more than they were designed to do. If DJ comes back at full strength next year and if Lonnie is nearly as good as advertised, the Spurs will be fine moving forward,
