Are we gluttons for punishment?

Spurs point guard Tony Parker said Pau Gasol suffered a shoulder injury Monday during the team's 100-98 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, casting doubt on the center's availability for Thursday's showdown at the Golden State Warriors.

Gasol was hurt during the second half in a collision with his brother Marc Gasol, the Grizzlies center, and finished the contest with two points, seven rebounds and four assists.

"He hurt his shoulder, and he told me it was bad," Parker said. "We will see, but I'm pretty sure he's not going to play against Golden State."
In other injury news, Spurs forward Rudy Gay suffered what he called an injury to his left eardrum in the first half. Gay immediately left the floor and headed to the locker room with a member of the Spurs medical staff.

Gay returned to the bench in the first half, and he played in the second half, finishing the game with seven points, four rebounds and a steal. It's expected Gay will be evaluated on Tuesday to determine the severity of the injury.

"He got bumped around a little bit, but no injury or anything like that," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.

Because of all the team's injuries this season, the Spurs have utilized 22 starting lineups (fifth most in the NBA), with 12 players combining to miss a total of 175 games, including three players in Kawhi Leonard, Parker and Gay sitting out at least 20 outings due to injuries.

Yup. Pop does like to keep his rosters filled with veteran players and like you said, the older they are, the body tends to break down. When you pay for the experience they bring to the table, they also bring an aged body as well. When you roll the dice, you're always taking a chance.

Last nights loss to the Warriors was the sixth in a row in which the Spurs had a lead going into the fourth quarter. Hate to bring this up but the attitude to win starts with your stars, while KD led the Warriors down the stretch LaMarcus disappeared.

LaMarcus didn't disappear. He was doubled and tripled and denied the ball, and no one helped him.

Yeah...notice how no one had the guts to take that big shot on the fast break? That's terrible. No chance to score if you don't take the shot. They all just froze up like they were rookies in a new situation. Each one of them looked to pawn off the other to take the shot and they ask choked. Aldridge wad putting in work and the Warriors knew that and took him out of it like they did in the playoffs. He needed help and no one offered it late in the game.
