Various sources on twitter indicating a figure of 3 years, just shy of $45mil.

Maybe this will set the tone for when they have to extend Kawhi in that he shouldn't expect more than what Parker is getting.

Surprising that details of the contract have been publicized. The Spurs don't usually do that...

Glad to hear this. Now of the keys for the future that only leaves Kawhi to sign his deal.

Are you kidding? We pretty much always know the years/rough salary for every contract the Spurs do within hours of the official announcement.

And the contracts have to go to the league office, so I'm not sure what that means . . . it seems likely that a lot of the leaking comes from inside the organization, but it wouldn't have to.

Another possible added bonus to this signing is that it may lock in FIBA scouts for the Spurs for the next 3 years with Tony being the president of Asvel not to mention whatever connections Messina has.

Only thing about that is you run the chance of someone offering him an insane amount of money, then the Spurs would have to match that amount or let him walk.

Hard to believe interesting stat from mysa.com article on extension. Speaks to the Spurs amazing winning success.

Only two active NBA players, Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant, have appeared in more postseason games than Parker, who was the MVP of the Spurs’ 2007 NBA Finals victory over James’ Cleveland Cavaliers.
