Josh McRoberts

I would love to have this guy on the team.

HERE is the story.

From what I've read on him and remember from his days at Duke, he's a hustle guy and a big who can pass. Fits the Spurs profile if the cost is cheap.

He won't be cheap.

NOBODY is cheap this offseason. Teams are spending like mad.

Jodie Meeks got nearly $20 mil over three years. Gortat got $60 mil (and people here think Splitter got overpaid!).

Would like to see him on the team. Hustle player who can fill up the stat sheet in different ways on any given night. Then again he can also put up nothing on some nights as well. He does have a nice skillset on offense that fits in nicely with the Spurs. Never paid attention to him on D though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him get more than the MLE though.

I thought the same thing. Splitter's contract does not look so bad.

Splitter did get overpaid! Doesn't matter what Gortat got. He is a way better player than Splitter.

Splitter is a steal in this market!
Patty is a steal at 12 mill 3 years
Spurs make magic!
Maybe we could get McRoberts for the MLE.
Do we want him at that price tag?
Maybe.

If trying to convince people splitter was a steal, I wouldn't be posting bleacher report articles to push it home.

You ever hear the saying, "you can't judge a book by the cover?"

Try reading the articles and then judging them. It is not like it is a trade rumor.

Yea i have, and it is irrelevant in this case. I have read bleacher report several times, enoughto know it's the great value brand of analysis...

With that being said, iIl agree that Splitter earned his contract during that playoff run... I was extremely happy with his play 3 out of 4 rounds.

I guess Iíll put my 3 cents worth in about Splitter. I was thrilled when we drafted Tiago in 2007 but didnít join the team until the 2010 season. However, Splitter getting hurt in the first few days of training camp didnít help his image any and I have to say I was a little disappointed with his initial offensive and defensive abilities but over the years, he has shown vast improvement and is adapting to the NBA and the Spurs system. Splitter has his moments, just like every other player, where he has his good games and bad games. I wish he could jump a little higher and wouldnít get so many shots blocked around the basket. But Iíve accepted him for what he is --- a Spurs player who knows his role in Popís system who hustles like all the other Spurs players and who has contributed to the Spurs winning their 5th NBA championship. There are a lot of other players I would like to see wearing #22, but the Spurs management like him and so do I and Iíll continue to support him while he wears the silver and black.

McRoberts can make some highlight reels for sure. But no way is he going to get 30 mpg in SA.
