Suns' season in the balance against Spurs

The timing could not be worse. The bad timing is not even that the Suns have to play here with their season in the balance against the Spurs, the NBA's best team, and in an AT&T Center full of ghastly Suns postseason flashbacks from 2003 to 2008.

It is the timing of Suns scoring and playmaking leader Goran Dragic going into a limp on his sprained left ankle and how it puts him in question for Friday's game at San Antonio. The game already was a quandary for the Suns (47-31) because, as much as every win can help the playoff chase, the more important game is on the tail end of this back-to-back set Saturday night at Dallas. The Suns are 8-9 this season on the second night of back-to-back sets.

Goran Dragic questionable for key game against Spurs

I just hope Pop plays everyone so they can get the win, lock up HCA and rest everyone until the playoffs. I'm sure everyone's life flashed before their eyes when Duncan clutched his knee.

That's a good way to put it.

They might not play till the last game vs the Lakers to lock it up and get the guys tuned up. But please give us Dallas on the first round. What better would it be for them to scrape their way in the playoffs just to get swept by their arch-rivals! Oh boy...I'm hoping for it, just to see Cubans face and his complaints.

Duncan played well over his customary limit last night. I have to believe Pop will sit him.
