Green in, Baynes out....

With a cracked rib! When in the heck did that happened?

Eddy from Austin 03-31-14 11:32 AM

It makes sense now how Timmy slapped him on the chest after a time out and Baynes bend over in pain.

Eddy from Austin 03-31-14 11:37 AM

We are short two bigs with Matt also being out.

mckennaspur1 03-31-14 11:41 AM

Looks like Austin will have his Daye. Hope the lad can come through.

And now it begins.....the need for an insurance piece. Hope the get well soon. But cracked rib would be a little worse than a strained calf.

KAD 03-31-14 11:57 AM

Hmm this is bad but good as Autin gets more minutes and will also have to play some better Defense!

Spurd_On 03-31-14 12:15 PM

Nothing good about it. The Spurs need beef in certain situations......like Roy Hibbert. Diaw and Ayres are about as beefy as the Spurs have left.

True, but he's not the type of big that can bang and take a beating. Daye is a true stretch 4, no post defense against real bigs. He's a mismatch on the offensive end for opponents but a liability on D with true power forwards. Just too light in the britches.

JuanCaca 03-31-14 01:00 PM

tim slaped his chest and crack his ribb???????????????????????????? :D:D sounds like HEB commercial!!

alh1020 03-31-14 01:19 PM

Ouch. The call for reinforcements for that #15 roster spot keeps knocking at the Spurs door. It's going to be up to Pop and RC whether they answer it or grin and bare it the rest of the way. Anybody see a reported recovery period for Baynes? Ayres and Daye will have to step up their game a little bit more when called.

Just as one of my posts says. I know we probably don't need it, but it's just nice to know that they can throw another big/strong body out there just in case. Bonner only plays in specific match ups and teams, Baynes is a big bodied-banger but probably not crucial game material yet. So I'm worried about that and the strain on our remainder of our big men. Like I said before, it would be nice to have a guy like MWP just to be there ala McGrady. But fortunately they don't pay us to make team decisions. So if Pop & Co. feel they are O.K. then...so be it. Just don't take Tim out for the last play on defense....Oopps, big mistake.

Has any one seen or heard from Meta? Get well sooner Bonner.

Hanging out with Phil in NY.

b1gdon 03-31-14 08:45 PM

Honestly, neither bonner nor baynes was going to see much action in the NBA finals. I think Bonner has fallen off the age cliff and Baynes sucks too much.

Mombear 03-31-14 09:09 PM

I heard the Spurs are in talks with that psycho MWP. facepalm
