Danny Green has had a sore right wrist (bruised nerve) since last Tuesday and the pain won't go away, so he is set to have it checked out on Monday to determine what's causing the issue, reports the San Antonio Express-News.

"It shouldn't still be sore," Green said. "They want the MRI to see whatís going on."

Green was limited to just 19 minutes on Sunday and if he's forced to miss any games, head coach Gregg Popovich will start either Manu Ginobili or Marco Belinelli at the shooting guard position.

Must be why they called Daye back after one Toros game.

I doubt that Daye is ready to step into Danny's minutes yet. I sure he's back from Austin so he can work out with the Spurs for the two days before the LA trip.

Actually, I hope I'm wrong. The Lakers aren't much competition, so putting Danny in a suit and getting Daye onto the floor would provide a chance to see what he can do. Daye looks to be a project, but he seems to have upside if he can learn to defend.

I would imagine most of us have had broken bones. Some of mine continued to hurt for over a year.

Here is an update from ESPN Insider. It is good news. We need Green's defense even more than we need is 3 point shooting.

UPDATE: Danny Green had the MRI on Monday and it showed no physical damage, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

“Went well,” Green said. “All clear.”

Green likely will remain the starting shooting guard, however he could be rested for a few games over the last month of the regular season just to make sure the wrist is good for the playoffs.
