Popovich embarrassed by recent play
This one came 111-98 on Wednesday night, wire-to-wire, with the Spurs trailing by 18 points in the first quarter and never quite able to catch up. If the Christmas Day debacle were frustrating enough for the Spurs, their coach later added a lump of coal to their collective stocking. “I thought that was an embarrassing performance,” Popovich said.
Houston adds to ongoing problem - San Antonio Express-News
I'm not a band wagoner but the fact is that I get too frustrated in games like last night to sit there and watch the whole time. Im not guna stop supporting them at all but for my own sanity I can't enjoy a game when I know they can play so much better but play with no energy and no focus. So after the first half I decided I wouldn't let a bad game ruin my Christmas day. Unfortunately that type of feeling is coming to me more often against any good team we've played lately.
I'm sorry but after following the Spurs for 26 years, I just don't get very concerned about win and losses in December. Get back to me in April to see how I feel about wins and losses.
