Rick Carlisle gives his ‘Popovich impersonation’ during in-game interview

Never ask a “yes or no” question. That golden rule of interviewing was broken twice in a row on Wednesday night, allowing Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle the chance to offer up a little tribute to famously pithy Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.

Dallas entered the fourth quarter trailing Houston 101-87 and Carlisle was less than pleased with the fact that Rockets center Dwight Howard had 27 points (on 11-for-11 shooting) through three quarters. The veteran coach took out his frustration on ESPN sideline reporter Chris Broussard, who sought answers about the Mavericks’ planned defensive adjustments on Howard.

Meh.
It was more impressive in text when I saw it this morning (no video).

However, I'd love to see every coach do this until Stern retires.

What I’d love to see is Pop being asked a question on how he really feels about Stern retiring. Pop would fall to the floor, laughing his a$$ off. Then, Pop would get to his feet and ask the questioner if he got his answer. In reality, Pop would probably just look at the questioner with a straight face and reply, "Really?" and just walk away.

It's not just the quote. It's the smug dickish look he has on his face that just says I really don't want to be out here answering your stupid f'ing cliched sports questions that really sells the Pop.
