Tony Parker's 'Nueve' nightclub closes its doors

You got to hand it to San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker. He excels on the court, and isn't afraid to try other ventures. From a rap career to slapping his face on many products, he isn't shy when it comes to trying things outside of the NBA.

One of his ventures was opening a nightclub in San Antonio named "Nueve Lounge" (Spanish for "nine" for his jersey number) and though it may have gotten off to a great start, it seems now the doors will be closing.

Parker and his brothers (who ran the establishment) announced that "Nueve Lounge" is no more.

Venturing into the nightclub industry wasn't a slam dunk for Tony Parker. The upscale Nueve Lounge, which the San Antonio Spurs point guard and his brothers opened last year, announced on social media sites last week that it was shuttered on July 27. Earlier that Saturday, the bar had encouraged fans of its Facebook page to call for VIP reservations. “The time has come, San Antonio: All good things must come to an end,” the most recent Facebook post reads. “Nueve Lounge officially closed our doors this past Saturday night and we want to thank everyone who came and supported us in this endeavor. “We had a great time making memories with you and will always remember them.”

The establishment featured four VIP areas, including a private room lined with mahogany shelves for cigars and wine storage and private lockers. To ensure patrons knew whose name was behind the venue, a large 9 made of stone was set into the dance floor.

Tony should have called John Taffer at Bar Rescue. I'll bet he would have taken the job. It would have made good TV.

Did they close it because Bonner went there?

The club gave Tony PTSD from the Chris Brown/Drake fight!

He tried to go but he was running late and under pressure and he missed the off ramp
