can we trade bret brown for kenneth faried?

i hate league stealing spurs staff every year...

I hope we can keep Coach Brett Brown.
Pop will then to replace two major Coaching Staff this off season... Unbelievable.

Denver is a mess. I can't imagine him wanting to go there.

The persona that Pop will probably display to the world and to the media is that he is glad to see Brett getting the recognition that he deserves for all the hard work and dedication he has devoted to the sport. Just like a parent watching his young going into the world on their own. The same goes for Coach Bud going to Atlanta. But in truth, Pop will probably be aching inside, mourning their loss to the Spurs organizations. Me, I wish the league would quit feeding off the silver and black. Better put out the ‘vacancy’ sign.

76ers to interview Spurs assistant Brett Brown

Brett Brown is suddenly a very popular man.

He interviewed with the Nuggets, and if that didn’t work out, he appeared in line to become Gregg Popovich’s lead assistant in San Antonio with Mike Budenholzer headed to the Hawks.

Now, Brown has yet another suitor. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

the Philadelphia 76ers have sought and received permission to discuss their coaching opening with Brown, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

If the 76ers really want Brown, they might have to act faster than planned. Wojnarowski:

The Nuggets are expected to offer their coaching job before Thursday’s NBA draft, choosing from a pool that includes Brown,Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw, former Memphis Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins, former Los Angeles Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro and Nuggets assistant Melvin Hunt.

I would be very surprised if Brown turns down an offer to coach the Nuggets, even if prefers the 76ers for whatever reason, just to have a chance to land the Philadelphia job. Of course, there’s no guarantee Denver offers him the job, but it’s just a factor the 76ers should mindful of if their interview with Brown goes well.

Agree with you about Pop. We have and have had great staff with the right character.

However, I think some owners are short sighted in thinking that if they get a coach with Spurs pedigree, they will win a championship in just a few short years. They don't seem to have the patience or trust that should go with the job. When their team is not progressing like they think they should, it's goodbye and thank you very much. ie AJ, PJ, Mike Brown, del Negro...

Doug Collins got out of Philly while the gettin' was good. I can't imagine that organization as a good place to go either. They show no signs of getting on track or the willingness to do so properly.

Looks like he didn't get the Nuggs' job.
