San Antonio's Tiny Mariachi + Racism
The singing of the national anthem by San Antonio’s Sebastien De La Cruz at Game 3 between the Spurs and the Heat caused a stir on Twitter, but not because the singer goofed the lyrics. In fact, Express-News NBA Beat Writer Mike Monroe said it was “boffo.
.” Mike Monroe: Sebastian De La Cruz belts out a boffo national anthem at ATT Center.
However, many on the social media site aimed racist remarks at San Antonio’s tiny mariachi. That led to a strong reaction from others who were outraged by the criticism of De La Cruz.

Hootie blows anyway!
Unfortunately, the line between being an advocate for immigration reform and pure racism is becoming more and more blurred.
The guy behind all of these complaints is probably that clown from Miami who sued Pop and the Spurs back in Nov-Dec. He's probably a blowfish fan and pissed they didn't show up.
What a shame. He hit every note he was suppose to and come on, he's only what, 10 years old. Very sad state of affairs in this country. Very sad.
I have read so many comments about how they could let a "Mexican" kid sing the national anthem---like San Antonio is not part of the U.S.
All in all, the kid made some mistakes, but he has a fantastic voice in my book.
