Game 4 Recap: What Spurs Must Improve

The San Antonio Spurs were up at the start of the 4th quarter to be one win away from the Western Conference Finals. They had momentum going into the final quarter, especially with the Golden State Warriors being in foul trouble throughout the game.

When the final quarter came, the drought came for the Spurs. They lost the 4th quarter 24-22 and eventually overtime allowing 13 points while only scoring 3 themselves. The defense was there for the Spurs the whole game, not allowing 25 or more points in any part of the game. Tim Duncan (19 points, 15 rebounds) and Manu Ginobili (21 points) did their share, but the rest of the team's offense betrayed them.

The Spurs led the Warriors in steals and blocks by a decent margin and had far less turnovers. As to rebounding, the Spurs seldom out rebound their opponent and it seldom prevents a win. However this Warriors team seem much better than average on capitalizing on them.

Mostly I attribute the loss to shots not going down. Even though many were wide open looks or free throws, I give some credit to the Warriors with their relentless offense and defense for wearing down the Spurs to the point where shots no longer fall.

Spurs just dropped that ENERGY/MOMENTUM at the end of the game and that was it.

Sadly all game long Spurs had that momentum going!!!!

The Spurs did everything but CLOSE that game 4....

I am so frustrated at that loss. Game 4 could easily be Spurs win...

I expect Spurs to come back with VERY VERY STRONG REBOUND at HOME Game 5~

GAME 5 is SPURS WIN no IFFS no BUTTS no EXCUSES!!!

Go Spurs Go

not offensive rebounds. Spurs (during regular season) would get outrebounded on the offensive end mainly because their shots went in, hence no need to rebound.
