D. Will isn't running any type of offense!

No offense to Carlissimo but what the Hell
Is going on? I think the pressure has
gotten the best of Williams. Chuck &
Kenny are right, the Nets have talent and
that's what's gotten them threw the year.
They've shown No Heart, No Passion what's
So ever. That's NOT on PJ, that's on
D. Will, has No Will!

before you put it completely on Williams, you have to see first what Carlesimo was trying to run. if he gave the reigns to Williams, then there's a point to an extent.

it's not like Williams was going 1 on 1 the whole night. even on the corner miss by Joe Johnson, he was being hounded by 2 guys off the pick and roll and Brooke Lopez wouldn't take the shot twice.

you can't do much if you're being doubled and your big man doesn't want to do anything. Williams did make some big plays to bring them back. don't know what else you'd want from the guy (a PG) being doubled by his man and another bigger guy.

I think they have talent as well but their cap situation sucks bad. They are way over the cap and to me their bench is not that good. Kris Humphries makes 12 million a year for example and does not start. Reggie Evans plays with a lot of heart. JJ is super overpaid but he looked hurt last night. They need to start drafting some good players to counter their cap issues. Who is their only decent draft pick in recent memory.....Brook Lopez? Making those draft pick infused blockbuster trades and signing free agents will kill your cap. Teams need to draft well to balance it out better or they will be in salary cap hell.

PJ has been fired.

Ya know at some point ppl gotta understand that the constant firing of good coaches hurts continuity and growth of a team. If Organizations support their coach after making the playoffs, make a trade or waive & sign someone that could make the difference in continuity and how far they can go in the Playoffs.
Having to start all over, learning a new system, new habits, new coach personality really is stupid when they wonder why they can't compete for a championship. Bad move on the Nets part for firing Avery, even worst for firing PJ!

I think its important for teams to hire a coach and GM that are on the same page first off. Seems a lot of basketball teams clash on personnel and draft views etc. It's a recipe for disaster One awesome example is David Kahn for the T-Wolves. Horrible GM.

this was technically not a bad firing because PJ was always the "interim" head coach. they only guaranteed his spot until the season. next season they can start over with a new face, especially if they hire someone before the draft.

i can sense some love for PJ on the board, but as a head coach he doesn't have a good track record. watch Game 7 over again and see if the players were listening to him or turning him out, the latter is what it was looking like.

Maybe he just needs to come back to the Spurs.
