Pistons targetting Spurs' Mike Budenholzer for head coaching job

Y! SPORTS

AFAIK, Mike's been with the Spurs for almost 20 years now.

Hmm.. I was under the assumption he was probably going to be pops replacement after timmy retires. I wonder if the appeal of a head coaching job gets to him. At least its detroit, idk if anyone is yearning to move there right now.

Never Never Mike will stay as long as Pop is here in our Spurs Coaching Staff suite.

By the way didn't the Pistons invite Phil Jackson to be their consultant and he accepted or about to accept that position so could that be one of Phil's suggestions?

Bingo. Magic Johnson sold his interest in the Lakers and invested it in the Pistons. Thus the Phil Jackson connection. Thus, it can be assumed, the recommendation of a Spur.

Hmm I thinlk he's too soft to replace Pop. I'm ok with the Piston's interestbut can we wait until the Spurs are on vacation to distract the org/team with this???

Just remember Larry Brown won that Championship for the Pistons and defeated those Lakers not too long time ago.

Pistons could be a potential very good team. Lakers are going down sinking for a while.

I thought Bud was being groomed to replace Pop as well, so you would think that he wouldn't be tempted by a lesser team with Jackson potentially still around.
